WELCOME TO GREYHOUND VIRTUAL AIRWAYS

The idea behind Greyhound Airways was a creative approach based upon the TWA liquidation just before the merge with American Airlines in 2001. Greyhound acquired a portion of TWA's assets along with Kansas City-based Vanguard Airlines and Dallas-based Legend Airlines. Greyhound's vision stems from a nostalgic flair with a taste of Americana, and identifiable U.S destinations, which these three airlines fully possessed.

From an aircraft standpoint, Greyhound contacted Airbus and an agreement was made to move forward with the launch customer delivery of the Airbus A318, which in the real-world, was cancelled due to the merge.  From Greyhound's St. Louis hub, the A318 will be able to reach any destination in the 48 contiguous United States, Canada or Mexico. The A318’s 110-seat capacity with approximately 2,000 mile range will enable Greyhound to use the aircraft to open additional markets and add frequency on longer, thinner routes. Greyhound plans to order additional Airbus options in the future including modern aircraft like the Airbus A320 NEO and the A330-900 NEO. In addition, options for the highly anticipated Boeing 757-200/300 by Bluebird may be considered in 2026. Greyhound preserved TWA's STL and JFK crew bases along with Vanguard's MCI crew base and Legend's Dallas Love Field (DAL) crew base.
